Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handler's card preferred
- Ability to work up to 29 hours per week with a flexible schedule
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Demonstrated food preparation and safety knowledge
- Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Minimum experience in food preparation or culinary work preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Food Handler's card preferred
- Previous cooking experience in a foodservice environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to personal and workplace safety
- Ability to work flexible hours within part-time schedule
- Basic record keeping and inventory management skills
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food quality
- Taste all prepared food items
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service
- Clean kitchen and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Store or discard excess food as per safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Follow HACCP standards for food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance
- Use medium weight cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
- Adhere to proper lifting techniques
