Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food quality and presentation
  • Tastes all prepared food items to ensure flavor and quality
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service periods
  • Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following food safety procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs and equipment issues promptly
  • Attends safety and in-service meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers and managers
  • Performs job safely and adheres to company policies on safety and cleanliness
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures according to HACCP standards
  • Demonstrates personal commitment to safety for self and others
