The Cook position at Bass Pro Shops is integral to providing guests with exceptional dining experiences. This part-time role requires dedication to quality food preparation, adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards, and teamwork within an active kitchen environment. The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items according to established recipes and quality guidelines, ensuring that every dish meets the company’s high standards before being served to guests. Working within an organized station, the Cook maintains cleanliness and follows proper food handling protocols to guarantee customer satisfaction and compliance with health regulations.
In this role, the Cook will operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to record all prepared menu items, manage inventory levels by restocking the workstation as needed, and participate in ongoing training to uphold operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be capable of working on their feet for extended periods, demonstrating attention to detail in food preparation, and collaborating effectively with team members. Independence in judgment is required to resolve minor issues and suggest improvements to workflow and policies. - Previous experience in food preparation or service preferred
- Ability to stand and move constantly during shifts
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications
- Ability to work as a team

- Experience in a similar cook or food service role preferred

- Basic math skills for POS operation
- Willingness to undergo training and comply with health standards
Job Duties
- Prepares menu items as ordered for restaurant patrons and strictly adhering to recipe guidelines
- Ensures all prepared menu items meet quality expectations and plate specifications 100 percent of the time
- Rings all prepared menu items through the POS system
- Restocks work station with food products as needed
- Follows proper personal hygiene and sanitation standards set by health department
- Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards
- Adheres to Ecosure standards at all times
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment by following safety guidelines at all times
- Completes and abides by all training requirements
- All other duties as assigned
