Currently, QSL Management is seeking a part-time Cook for The Blake at Vero Beach, an independent living community. This role is ideal for individuals who have a passion for serving others and a dedication to culinary excellence. The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals according to established menus, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and ensuring that the kitchen environment promotes teamwork, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness. Working in a senior living environment requires a special commitment to hospitality and service, as well as the ability to prepare food that meets or exceeds the standards expected in such a setting.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $20 and includes opportunities to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends. The Cook will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience of residents by delivering nutritious, appealing, and therapeutic meal options tailored to their dietary needs. Job Requirements

- 2 years of related culinary experience

Job Duties
- Prep, plan and cook meals according to established menus
- Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in food quality and service quality
- Maintains or exceeds standards of a kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, safety, proper hygiene and cleanliness
- Stock supplies as needed
- Willingness to work in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards
