Morrison Healthcare is currently hiring part-time Cook positions at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to ensure consistent and timely meal production. The Cook will be responsible for ensuring food safety, proper portioning, appealing presentation, and maintaining excellent cleanliness standards throughout the work area, including storage spaces and kitchen equipment. This position requires shift work during weekends on Friday and Saturday nights, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am, offering a competitive fixed pay rate of $20.50 per hour with a weekend shift differential, providing additional compensation for the overnight hours worked on weekends.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and temperature standards
  • Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen and equipment after preparation and serving, maintaining hygiene standards
  • Stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor immediately
