The role of the Part-Time Cook at Pyramid Healthcare is essential in supporting the health and wellness of both clients and staff. This position offers flexible part-time scheduling with shifts in the morning or evening, including weekend rotations, to accommodate various availability preferences. The pay range for this role is between $16 and $19 per hour, depending on experience.

The Part-Time Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals in adherence to standardized recipes and menus. Beyond meal preparation, the role involves maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards, managing food inventory, and accommodating special dietary requirements when directed. The ideal candidate will have previous cooking or food service experience, knowledge of basic cooking techniques, and preferably a ServSafe certification or the willingness to obtain one upon hire. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible part-time shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable transportation to the Concord, NC facility

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
  • Ensure food meets quality, portion, and presentation standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Adjust recipes and quantities based on census and needs
  • Accommodate special dietary requirements as directed
  • Complete required logs such as temperature checks and cleaning schedules
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and staff
  • Participate in required trainings and maintain certifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned
