Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible part-time shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation to the Concord, NC facility
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking or food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Positive, professional attitude
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
- Ensure food meets quality, portion, and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Adjust recipes and quantities based on census and needs
- Accommodate special dietary requirements as directed
- Complete required logs such as temperature checks and cleaning schedules
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and staff
- Participate in required trainings and maintain certifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
