Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year experience as a cook in a relevant setting
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • basic understanding of English

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of one year experience as a cook with responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution
  • ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
  • ability to plan and organize work, interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
  • basic understanding of English

Job Duties

  • maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code
  • attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
  • performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • prepares all food items as per standardized recipes
  • cleans kitchen area and equipment according to health and safety standards
  • monitors food stock and reports inventory needs
