Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
minimum of one year experience as a cook in a relevant setting
ability to communicate effectively
ability to perform simple arithmetic
ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
basic understanding of English

Job Qualifications

minimum of one year experience as a cook with responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution
ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic
ability to plan and organize work, interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
basic understanding of English

Job Duties

maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code
attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
prepares all food items as per standardized recipes
cleans kitchen area and equipment according to health and safety standards
monitors food stock and reports inventory needs
