Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will be integral to ensuring that our guests enjoy an unparalleled dining experience through the expert preparation and presentation of the menu designed by our Executive Chef. This role demands a high level of precision, multitasking abilities, and a passion for culinary arts. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing food consistently according to recipe cards, managing food items that are prepared ahead of time, and ensuring proper storage of unused items. Additionally, operating and maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and supplies is a vital part of the role. This position is especially suited for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, can think on their feet, and maintain composure under pressure.

This role requires being on your feet for extended periods, involving some physical activities such as lifting, walking, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, and working on potentially slippery floors. The Cook must be flexible with scheduling, including working nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the hospitality industry. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience as a prep line cook or cook
  • Ability to think quickly and work under pressure
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare food consistent with recipe cards
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over-prepare estimated needs
  • Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas
  • Operate and properly clean cooking and kitchen equipment and supplies
