Job Description
Frasier is a distinguished nonprofit 501(c)(3) Life Plan retirement community rooted in Boulder, Colorado since 1960. Renowned for providing a vibrant, upscale lifestyle for seniors, Frasier offers a comprehensive continuum of care including independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing within a hospitality-driven environment. With more than 300 dedicated team members, Frasier serves nearly 500 residents by delivering exceptional dining experiences, wellness programs, personalized health services, and a variety of engaging activities. The community aims to shape the future of senior living by combining innovation, compassion, and a commitment to excellence, creating a setting that feels more like a boutique resort than traditional senior care.
At Frasier, the values of fostering community, cultivating curiosity, inspiring excellence, and leading with respect and accountability underpin every interaction. The organization prides itself on inclusivity, diversity, and providing opportunities for professional growth while creating an environment where employees and residents alike feel valued and empowered. Frasier’s commitment to quality is also reflected in its competitive pay range of $19.00 to $22.78 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, along with comprehensive benefits that support and enhance the lives of its team members.
The Cook role at Frasier offers culinary professionals an exciting opportunity to join a team where creativity, quality, and hospitality are at the forefront. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in an upscale kitchen environment and enjoy taking initiative, working independently, and crafting chef-inspired meals with precision and care. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to delivering a refined dining experience daily that positively impacts the vibrant senior living community.
In this role, Cooks are entrusted with creating artfully prepared dishes using chef-inspired recipes that meet superior standards for taste, presentation, and quality. They maintain impeccable standards for food safety, temperature control, and sanitation, ensuring every meal serves not only high-quality food but also promotes the health and safety of residents and staff. Cooks collaborate on catering and signature events, bringing sophistication and style to bespoke menus that elevate the dining experience.
Beyond culinary skills, this role requires a strong commitment to compliance with ethical standards, including HIPAA privacy and the Colorado Elder Abuse Law. As vigilant advocates for resident welfare, Cooks promptly report any concerns related to mistreatment or safety. Teamwork and professionalism are essential aspects of daily operations, including mentoring new team members, maintaining a positive and respectful work environment, and driving overall kitchen efficiency.
Frasier’s investment in its employees is evident through generous benefits such as covering 83% of health, dental, and vision premiums, 401(k) plans with a 100% match on the first 5% contributed, employer-paid disability and life insurance, and up to 18 days of paid time off annually. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement, a free on-site fitness center, access to an Employee Assistance Program, affordable YMCA memberships, and free EcoPass transportation for full-time employees.
Working at Frasier means making a meaningful daily impact by helping nearly 500 seniors live vibrant lives within a supportive and inspiring community. It is a place where staff are encouraged to grow their careers through ongoing training and advancement opportunities and where inclusion and collaboration are celebrated. Join Frasier as a Cook to be part of a dedicated culinary team that values your expertise, creativity, and commitment to excellence in an exceptional setting.
