Job Requirements
- Previous cooking and prep cooking experience required
- Ability to work on an on-call schedule between 4:00 am and 11:00 pm
- Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Willingness to wear uniforms and utilize laundering services
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass any required background checks and comply with drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking and prep cooking experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to prepare food following standardized recipes
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols including the use of protective gloves and proper lifting techniques
- Willingness to work on an on-call schedule
- Basic math skills for portioning and measuring ingredients
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares food for delivery using correct portioning and temperature
- Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen areas after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents promptly
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperature
- Adheres to HACCP standards and company safety policies
