Job Duties

  • ensures that level of quality, portion control and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • prepares a variety of cuisine utilizing skill and creativity while using all local and seasonal products including produce from onsite garden
  • partner with Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine to prepare dishes to pair with estate wines
  • assists in training, education and development of all kitchen staff
  • dedicated to developing skillset by collaborating with a diverse team with expertise in cheese/cheesemaking, baking/pastry, fine dining, butchery, and barbeque
  • maintains a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
  • ensures all sanitation procedures are being followed
  • ensures adherence to all health, environmental and safety regulations, and procedures
  • skillfully utilizes hand tools or machines required, reads recipes, measures, cuts, and otherwise works on materials with great precision
  • engages in daily food prep for a variety of culinary events and takes a lead position at culinary events
  • helps order kitchen and food supplies
