This role supports professional development through wine education and the exploration of diverse food styles and techniques, ranging from cheese making, baking and pastry, to fine dining, butchery, and barbecue.
The Cook is responsible for consistently adhering to standards of quality, portion control, and plate presentation, ensuring each dish meets the high expectations of the winery. With a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, the Cook must follow all sanitation procedures and health regulations meticulously. This position also includes hands-on daily food preparation for culinary events where the Cook may take on a lead role, demonstrating leadership and culinary expertise. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and demands physical capability such as lifting up to 50 pounds. The wage for this position ranges from $19.52 to $27.80 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and location.
