We are currently seeking an on-call Cook to join our team at Providence Health St Patrick located at 500 West Broadway Street, Missoula, MT. This position offers full-time hours Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm with an on-call schedule, providing flexibility along with stable work hours. The pay range for this role is $18.50 to $20.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the expertise required. The on-call Cook will play a vital role in preparing high-quality food items in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards, always emphasizing safety, hygiene, and presentation.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing meals based on standardized recipes, ensuring the highest quality in taste, appearance, and temperature. You will assist in various kitchen duties including cleaning, food storage, equipment operation, and assisting with inventory and ordering processes. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience preferably with grill cooking
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment or supplies as needed
- Understanding of federal, state and company food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to follow safety protocols including use of protective gear
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm on an on-call basis
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous grill cooking experience preferred

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
- Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
