Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years preferred experience as cook in a hospital or full-service kitchen or combination of experience and formal culinary training
  • food handlers card - Oregon required
  • knowledge and understanding of proper food handling and sanitation required
  • ability to work well with others required
  • proficient in MS Office applications required

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma preferred or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience as a cook in a hospital or full-service kitchen preferred
  • combination of experience and formal culinary training considered
  • food handlers card - Oregon required
  • professional Culinary Institute certificate preferred
  • knowledge and understanding of proper food handling and sanitation
  • ability to work well with others
  • proficient in MS Office applications

Job Duties

  • Accurately follow and prepare recipes
  • prepare hot and cold food according to the recipe and production and food styling guidelines considering customer and patient counts
  • maintain proper food handling techniques
  • properly clean and sanitize workstation according to safety and sanitation guidelines
  • organize, calculate, and produce food production
  • maintain appropriate records according to regulatory and departmental standards
  • perform other duties as assigned
