Job Requirements

  • Possess or obtain National Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
  • Have prior restaurant or institutional cooking experience
  • Availability to work per diem 8-hour day shifts
  • Ability to work on-site at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital
  • Meet health and safety standards
  • Willingness to work variable hours as dictated by patient needs

Job Qualifications

  • National Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
  • Restaurant or institutional cooking experience
  • Culinary training (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve safe, healthy, nutritious, and high-quality foods for patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff
  • Plan and organize catering and cafeteria meals
  • Work under minimal supervision
  • Adjust work schedule to meet variable patient and customer needs
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with nutrition services team to ensure meal quality
  • Manage inventory and kitchen supplies as needed
