Levindale Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, is seeking a Cook for a Non-Union PRN (as needed) position within its Food and Nutrition department. This cooking role involves preparing and cooking food primarily for hospital patients, staff, and visitors, operating under the guidance of management. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $24.75, dependent on experience. The role requires flexibility, with various shifts on a PRN basis, meaning hours can vary depending on departmental needs. Key responsibilities include reviewing production sheets to determine types and quantities of food to be prepared, planning cooking schedules, and utilizing leftovers efficiently to reduce waste. The cook ensures food quality by following proper food preparation and sanitation protocols, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in preparation areas and equipment, and assisting with tray line activities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a food service or culinary environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Flexible availability for PRN shifts
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to lift moderate weights

Job Duties
