Job Requirements

  • Food handler certification within 180 days of hire
  • Ability to push, pull, and grip 50 pounds and pinch 10 pounds
  • Knowledge of all methods of cookery
  • Basic math skills
  • Effective oral and written communication in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two or more years of food service experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in all areas of the department in a timely and efficient manner
  • Utilize a knowledge of all methods of cookery to produce quality and eye appealing food products
  • Operate food preparation equipment including ovens, grills, choppers, slicers, blenders, mixers, and steamers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Adhere to food safety standards and obtain necessary food handler certification
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support department functions
