Job Duties

  • perform a full range of simple cooking tasks
  • prepare food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading
  • weigh, measure, and assemble ingredients for regular and modified menu items
  • mix ingredients according to precisely written recipes
  • cover, date, and store leftovers according to established procedures
  • operate a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam or microwave heat sources
  • clean, store, and maintain all equipment and work areas after each use
  • follow established sanitation procedures when handling food
  • disassemble, clean, and assemble component parts and accessories following safety procedures
  • use and clean a variety of cooking utensils
  • perform other duties as assigned
