Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year work experience in food service facility
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic food preparation and handling knowledge
  • Knowledge of sanitation principles
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach
  • Ability to read and understand instructions
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days
  • Customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Assist in operation of MWR food and beverage businesses
  • Create an attractive and friendly environment
  • Maintain product quality, cleanliness and inventory
  • Adhere to safety regulations and standards
  • Welcome customers and assist with product selection
  • Operate point of sale register and handle cash/credit transactions
  • Prepare, package and serve made-to-order beverages, snacks and food items
  • Set up food service counters with hot and cold food including desserts and condiments
  • Assist with preparation of pizzas and daily lunch specials using a hot grill
  • Slice cooked meats and prepare sandwiches and wraps
  • Wash, peel, slice and seed vegetables for salads and other dishes
  • Prepare malts, ice cream sundaes and scoop ice cream
  • Make specialty coffees/drinks using espresso machine
  • Clean kitchen equipment and perform simple maintenance
  • Wash dishes, pots, pans and operate mechanical dishwasher
  • Follow store policies for operational flow, merchandising, stocking and inventory management
  • Take periodic stock counts or inventories
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Dispose of food wastes and trash
  • Assist with unloading and storing supplies
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
