Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
Basic math skills
Minimum of six months related experience preferred
Willingness to obtain ServSafe certification if required
Ability to complete annual continuing education and mandatory in-services
Ability to stand for long periods and walk extensively
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
Valid Driver's License if required by location

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
Basic math skills for ingredient measurement
Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred
ServSafe certification may be required
Ability to complete departmental continuing education and in-services
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required
Valid Driver's License may be required depending on location

Job Duties

Prepare and assemble baked goods and meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors
Cook, season, and portion food according to menu and dietary guidelines
Adhere to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
Perform washing and cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
Maintain proper labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
Follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, stovetops, grills, and deep fryers
Document HACCP steps, temperatures, and outcomes for food safety compliance
Work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic kitchen environment
