Job Requirements
- Food Handler's Permit in required counties
- Fingerprinting clearance card or eligibility to obtain
- Background screening
- Licensure verification if applicable
- Reference check
- Drug testing
- Tuberculosis testing
- Employee health screening
- Ability to move, lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food preparation or culinary services
- Valid Food Handler's Permit where required
- Ability to follow food safety standards and regulations
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Prepare food in a safe and sanitary manner according to facility menu
- Ensure compliance with federal and state food safety regulations
- Follow dietary budgets while preparing appetizing meals
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Assist in inventory management and stock control
- Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan menus
- Adhere to all health screenings and safety protocols
