As a Cook, you will have an exciting opportunity to bring recipes to life while exploring your creativity with diverse ingredients, cooking methods, and cuisines. The Cook role is critical in contributing to the overall quality of the food service offered by Aramark. You will perform essential kitchen tasks such as preparing, baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming a wide variety of dishes including meats, vegetables, and other foods. Additionally, you will be responsible for arranging and garnishing food presentation according to established standards, ensuring portions are accurate and compliant with company guidelines. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment is a paramount responsibility to ensure compliance with food safety policies and protect public health.

Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills

Job Duties
- Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets
