As a Cook at Aramark, you will be at the heart of food preparation operations, bringing recipes to life while exploring your creativity in the culinary arts. You will use a variety of utensils including knives and operate culinary equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming will be part of your daily tasks, applied to a wide variety of food including meats, vegetables, and other dishes. Attention to detail is essential as you will arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines while adhering to stringent food safety and sanitation policies. Maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace and ensuring the security of company assets are also key responsibilities.

The position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended standing, and walking. Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- Knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

- Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets
