This specific role is that of a cook, tasked with preparing food orders adhering to standard recipes within an assigned restaurant under the Boyd Gaming umbrella. The role requires proficiency in preparing specific types of cuisine while ensuring consistency and quality. The cook must handle order coordination efficiently for timely pick-up while maintaining impeccably clean workstations and storage areas. Attention to minimizing waste is critical through proper rotation, storage, and quantity control measures. Inventory management at the workstation level is also part of the position, with responsibilities extending to ordering stock to maintain par levels. The role places emphasis on strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols to meet company and health standards. This position demands a physical capacity to stay on feet for extended periods, handle lifting and maneuvering objects up to 75 pounds, and perform various physical actions such as bending and twisting. Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of six 6 months of experience as a cook
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift
- Must be able to lift carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds
- Other physical requirements of the position include but are not necessarily limited to reaching grasping bending kneeling and twisting at the waist
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Job Duties
- Receive and prepare food orders for a specific type of cuisine according to assigned restaurant according to memorized standard recipes
- Coordinate orders for pick-up
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and storage areas at all times
- Control waste by monitoring proper rotation storage and quantity control
- Maintain inventory of station and order stock to maintain pars
- Consistently apply established safety and sanitation procedures
