Part of Allegro Living, LLC, a leading organization known for its extensive expertise in senior care, Spring Arbor Richmond offers a blend of compassionate care and vibrant lifestyles for its residents. Allegro Living was formed through a strategic merger in 2025, uniting the best practices and strengths of its predecessor companies to build a premier senior living platform. This platform emphasizes inspired lifestyles, meaningful regional impact, and high-quality services that support both residents and staff.
Spring Arbor Richmond is currently seeking a full-time Cook/Line Cook to join their Dining Services team. This position operates on the first shift with stable daytime hours and does not involve late-night restaurant closings, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a reliable work schedule and a balanced work-life environment. The starting pay for the role is $16.00 per hour, accompanied by a strong benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees, a 401(k) retirement plan with immediate vesting, paid time off, holiday pay, and opportunities for career advancement within the senior living sector.
The Cook/Line Cook role is essential to ensuring that residents at Spring Arbor Richmond receive meals that are not only nutritious and consistent with local tastes but also attractively presented to enhance dining experiences. Cooks in this role do more than prepare food; they contribute to creating comfort and connection within the community. The position involves preparing delicious, colorful, and appetizing meals, supervising kitchen operations under the direction of the Dining Services Director and Lead Cook, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and equipment, and engaging with residents and team members in a professional and friendly manner.
Ideal candidates for this role have prior experience in restaurant kitchens, hospitality settings, healthcare dining services, or senior living kitchens. The role demands a collaborative, detail-oriented attitude with a passion for serving others and a commitment to food safety standards. Rotating weekend shifts are required, and strong time management skills are essential to managing meal preparation and kitchen tasks effectively. Spring Arbor Richmond prides itself on fostering a team-focused work culture where every team member is valued, supported, and plays a meaningful role in the lives of the community members. This position is perfect for cooks looking for a stable day shift with a supportive leadership team and residents who truly appreciate the meals and service provided. Spring Arbor Richmond encourages qualified applicants to apply and become part of a thriving, compassionate kitchen environment where their culinary talents will be appreciated daily.
