Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lead three or more workers
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking
  • Ability to perform yield testing and adjust recipes
  • Knowledge of food ordering and storage procedures
  • Experience in grill, snack bar, restaurant, or similar environments
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility for hiring preferences
  • Education may be substituted for experience
  • Must provide transcripts if qualifying by education

Job Duties

  • Lead three or more workers to accomplish cooking assignments
  • Implement food preparation principles and ensure meals are prepared and cooked on time
  • Perform yield testing to determine portion cost and adjust ingredients in standardized recipes
  • Manage procedures to order, issue, and store food items
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to safety and hygiene standards
  • Coordinate meal planning and execute timely food service
  • Assist in inventory control and ensure food quality
