Job Description

Job Requirements

Must be able to lead three or more workers
Experience in food preparation and cooking
Ability to perform yield testing and adjust recipes
Knowledge of food ordering and storage procedures
Experience in grill, snack bar, restaurant, or similar environments
Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods
Ability to provide proof of eligibility for hiring preferences
Education may be substituted for experience
Must provide transcripts if qualifying by education

Job Qualifications

Experience leading a team in food preparation
Knowledge of food preparation principles and meal planning
Ability to perform yield testing and recipe adjustments
Familiarity with food ordering and storage procedures
Experience gained in grills, snack bars, restaurants, or similar settings
Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

Lead three or more workers to accomplish cooking assignments
Implement food preparation principles and ensure meals are prepared and cooked on time
Perform yield testing to determine portion cost and adjust ingredients in standardized recipes
Manage procedures to order, issue, and store food items
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to safety and hygiene standards
Coordinate meal planning and execute timely food service
Assist in inventory control and ensure food quality
