The organization prioritizes fostering a welcoming space where every individual feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential, aligned with its core values of inclusivity, genuineness, hopefulness, nurturing, and determination. These values help guide the YMCA's mission to serve and uplift the community while ensuring safety, respect, and positive development for all participants.

The Food Service position at the YMCA of Central Florida Learning Centers is an essential role focused on providing nutritious and safe meals to enrolled children. The Food Service team member also assists in overseeing the operations of the food program alongside Family Center leadership. Key responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with public health regulations and Child Care Food Program guidelines, managing inventory and supplies, and supporting positive relationships with parents and staff regarding the food program. This job requires someone who can work effectively in a busy childcare environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of food safety, nutrition, and kitchen operations.

The role also demands physical capability and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to maintain consistent food service for children. Candidates must be attentive, patient, and able to handle the demands of a dynamic, child-focused environment. Moreover, the YMCA upholds rigorous standards regarding background checks and employment verification to ensure a safe setting for children and staff alike. This position not only contributes to the nutritional health and satisfaction of children but also supports the broader mission of the YMCA to promote community wellness and strengthen families through purposeful and dedicated service.
