The organization prides itself on fostering communities where seniors live vibrant and fulfilling lives, supported by dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in their residents' lives. With a focus on respectful, personalized senior care, Allegro Living emphasizes a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and staff alike.
Currently, Allegro Living is seeking a Full-Time Cook for its Winter Park, FL location, serving the surrounding areas including Orlando, Maitland, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Oviedo, and Winter Springs. This position is a valuable part of the dining team in a dynamic assisted living community where food is not just a necessity but an essential part of the residents’ daily experience. Working from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the cook will be instrumental in preparing meals that are not only nutritious but also beautifully presented to enhance residents' quality of life.
This role is ideal for candidates who genuinely love cooking and take pride in creating dishes that bring joy and comfort to others. Allegro Living values culinary professionals who can go beyond following recipes by adding a creative touch to their meal preparation while adhering to high standards of food safety and quality. The cook will have the opportunity to impact residents’ lives positively by crafting delicious, colorful meals that celebrate local tastes and customs. The position promises a stable and meaningful kitchen role with competitive pay, medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees, supplemental insurance options, a 401(k) retirement plan, and a positive workplace atmosphere where kindness and teamwork are prioritized.
The cook will work under the supervision of the Dining Services Director and Chef/Lead Cook, helping to maintain the kitchen’s operational efficiency by overseeing meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and managing kitchen equipment and cleanliness. This role requires a person with attention to detail, adaptability, strong time management skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Successful candidates will have a current manager’s level food handler permit and pass a criminal background screening. Allegro Living is a drug-free workplace and upholds equal employment opportunities, welcoming candidates from diverse backgrounds.
