In this position, you will bring recipes to life and have the creative freedom to experiment with different cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles. As a Cook with Aramark, your responsibilities will include preparing various types of food according to standardized recipes and production guidelines. You will be responsible for setting up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment, measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items to prepare them for cooking. The use of kitchen utensils and equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers is incorporated into daily tasks. You will employ a variety of cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats, vegetables, and other foods. Your efforts will also focus on arranging, garnishing, and portioning food dishes according to established standards, alongside properly storing food items according to safety policies and procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils is a critical part of the job. Your role will also include providing excellent customer service while maintaining a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, colleagues, and clients. Compliance with Aramark's safety policies, including food safety and sanitation protocols, is essential to ensure the security of company assets and to create a safe and efficient workplace.

Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- willingness to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- ability to wear uniforms and/or usage of personal protective equipment
- basic math skills
- strong communication abilities

- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
