Joining the team as a Cook IV at Stanly Ranch means becoming part of the esteemed Auberge family, known for its dedication to excellence in hospitality and guest service. The role of Cook IV is pivotal in maintaining the high culinary standards that the resort is known for. Responsibilities include following specific recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards as outlined by the kitchen management, as well as setting up and maintaining clean and organized workstations.

As a member of the heart of house team, the Cook IV works closely with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional dining experiences for guests. Maintaining sanitary conditions in prep areas and cooking equipment, restocking supplies, and participating in deep cleaning tasks are essential to the role. This position requires adherence to Department of Health standards to uphold an A-level kitchen. The role offers a competitive starting wage of $20.00 per hour, with individual pay rates determined by experience and education. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years culinary experience
  • valid food handler’s card or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong time management skills
  • ability to follow recipes and maintain quality
  • good communication skills
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of culinary experience
  • luxury hotel and/or high-volume restaurant experience preferred
  • current food handler’s card required (within 30 days of hire)
  • working knowledge of professional cooking techniques, knife skills, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow recipes with minimal supervision while maintaining consistency and quality
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with strong time management skills
  • professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • receptive to feedback with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
  • set up work station according to established expectations
  • execute prep tasks from start to finish
  • work collaboratively with heart of house staff and front of house staff
  • maintain cleanliness of all heart of house work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • participate in deep cleaning of heart of house work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • follow set schedule and give appropriate notification for tardiness and absence
  • conform to Department of Health requirements to run an A-level kitchen
