Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum one year related work experience
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
  • Basic kitchen safety knowledge

  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
  • Monitor food quality during preparation
  • Set-up and break down the work station
  • Serve food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures
  • Follow company safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Maintain professional uniform and appearance
  • Protect company assets and confidentiality
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Support team goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to concerns
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
