Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a renowned leader in the American Chinese restaurant industry, founded in 1983 in Glendale, California. As the largest family-owned Asian dining concept in the United States with close to 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group has built a strong legacy centered on exceptional food and a commitment to family values. The company’s mission is not only to serve delicious Asian cuisine but also to inspire and support its team members, fostering an environment where individuals have opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. By combining vibrant restaurant atmospheres with a passionate team, Panda continues to set the standard for quality dining experiences.

The Shift Leader position at Panda plays a critical role in bringing the company’s mission to life within its restaurants. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity for individuals to step into a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment where they become key contributors to the team’s success. A Shift Leader is responsible for managing the store’s operations during their shift, supporting the creation of a welcoming ambiance for guests, and ensuring food is prepared with passion and precision. This role not only involves overseeing daily activities but also empowering team members, providing hands-on training, and promoting a positive work culture that aligns with Panda’s core values.

As a central figure in the restaurant, the Shift Leader gains valuable skills in team leadership, operational management, and customer service. They interact directly with guests to ensure their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable while coordinating with different team members to maintain high standards of food quality and safety. The role offers hands-on experience in cooking and preparing Panda’s signature dishes, enhancing the Leader's culinary knowledge and expertise. Individuals in this position also expand their skill set by developing abilities related to conflict resolution, effective communication, and adaptability in fast-changing environments.

Working at Panda means being part of a dynamic team that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Panda Restaurant Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination on the basis of gender, race, age, disability, and other protected characteristics. Additionally, the company complies fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring reasonable accommodations are provided so all applicants can successfully participate in the hiring process.
