The position available is for an In-Room Dining Cook on the Culinary Team. As an essential member of this elite hospitality environment, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests right in the comfort of their rooms. Your duties will involve preparing high-quality dishes according to designated recipes and quality standards, ensuring every plate is inspected and finalized to perfection before service. You will manage guest orders efficiently, maintaining a positive dining experience that aligns with the hotel’s luxury brand standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for executing complex recipes, managing various kitchen stations, overseeing quality control, conducting inventory checks, and adhering strictly to food handling and safety protocols.
This role requires flexibility and complete open availability as it is part of the Local 25 Union. Hours and schedules may vary weekly based on seniority and business needs, and full-time hours are not guaranteed initially. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong ability to follow complex recipes and presentation guidelines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience
- Maintain a strong knowledge of menu offerings, handle complex recipes, oversee stations, execution, quality control and inventory checks
- Inspect all preparations and dishes ahead of serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards
- Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols
- Coordinate timing and plating, manage/direct cooks during shifts, assist with inventory checks, ordering, shift briefings and some special features
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
