Known as the beacon of hospitality in the region, this extravagant resort combines a picturesque waterfront setting with a rich history and a modern touch to create an unforgettable experience for every guest. Spanning across a lush 32-acre enclave, the resort boasts 325 meticulously designed guest rooms, suites, and villas alongside a unique collection of 91 Private Resort Residences, catering to discerning travelers and residents seeking luxury and comfort.
One of the iconic features of the resort is the famed superyacht marina, which caters to yacht enthusiasts and boasts world-class facilities, making the resort a hub of maritime activity and upscale leisure. Complementing this is the renowned rotating Pier-Top lounge, an architectural landmark with sweeping views over Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront, offering guests an exceptional dining and social experience. The resort is also home to twelve diverse restaurants and lounges featuring a variety of culinary delights, ensuring guests have access to exceptional dining options tailored to a wide range of tastes.
The resort’s amenities extend beyond just accommodation and dining. Guests can indulge themselves in a luxurious spa offering a full range of relaxation and rejuvenation services, as well as enjoy carefully curated pool options that provide a tranquil retreat from the bustle of daily life. The waterfront promenade, with its retail outlets and dining venues, adds to the vibrant and lively atmosphere, promoting a sense of community and engagement.
To deliver these exceptional experiences, Pier Sixty-Six Resort employs a diverse team of over 600 talented individuals who are passionate about hospitality and guest service. The resort prides itself on creating a culture that nurtures individual growth, welfare, and well-being, providing state-of-the-art facilities, a first-class employee dining room, and a work environment that values respect and personal development.
Currently, Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook III-Bakery Overnight to join its exceptional culinary team. Reporting directly to the Pastry Chef, this position plays a vital role in shaping the unique pastry and bakery offerings of the resort, contributing to the creation of distinct and authentic culinary experiences that delight guests across all dining venues and in-room dining services.
In this overnight role, the Cook III-Bakery Overnight will be responsible for a range of critical tasks including preparing and producing dessert menu items for both day-to-day restaurant service and large banquet events, ensuring both quality and presentation meet the highest standards. The position demands a strong collaboration with fellow pastry team members to meet common goals, strict adherence to departmental policies, and a detailed understanding of equipment operation and maintenance. Guest satisfaction is a top priority, requiring attentive and friendly service, rapid response to guest needs, and effective handling of any complaints.
The role also involves routine opening and closing duties which encompass everything from workstation setup, inventory checks, food prep, and sanitation to the organization of storage areas and ensuring all health department and hotel standards are rigorously followed. Minimizing waste, maintaining food cost controls, and assisting with banquet centerpieces and buffet displays add further dimensions to the responsibilities of this important position.
Pier Sixty-Six Resort values professionalism and a high standard of culinary craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a culinary background with at least 1 to 3 years of experience in quality hotel or restaurant cooking, culinary certification or apprenticeship credentials, and a food handling certificate. Additionally, this overnight role demands physical endurance, a flair for artistic presentation, sound communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and cohesively within a team.
Joining Pier Sixty-Six Resort means becoming part of a legacy dedicated to delivering unparalleled guest experiences in an environment that supports team members’ growth and well-being. The resort offers its employees a highly competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, flexible spending plans, paid time off, a 401(k) with company matching, and perks such as complimentary meals and room nights at CoralTree Hospitality managed properties. This is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals eager to advance their careers in a prestigious, dynamic environment with a company that truly honors and respects its people.
