Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
- Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and software
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in a similar cooking position
- Culinary training preferred
- Ability to execute seven methods of cooking
- Proficient in knife skills as certified by a chef
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
Job Duties
- Prepare soups, stocks, and sauces
- Cook main dishes, starches, and vegetables
- Review and follow recipes and prep lists
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards including HACCP compliance
- Collaborate with front and back of house teams
- Maintain accurate temperature and food safety records
- Participate in training and team meetings
