Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment and software
  • Ability to follow directions accurately
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar cooking position
  • Culinary training preferred
  • Ability to execute seven methods of cooking
  • Proficient in knife skills as certified by a chef
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare soups, stocks, and sauces
  • Cook main dishes, starches, and vegetables
  • Review and follow recipes and prep lists
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards including HACCP compliance
  • Collaborate with front and back of house teams
  • Maintain accurate temperature and food safety records
  • Participate in training and team meetings
