Their reputation is marked by numerous accolades and recognition from respected publications and industry organizations, evidencing their commitment to excellent guest experiences and a quality workplace for employees.
OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark is a flagship property within this distinguished portfolio, located in the vibrant Horizons District near downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Situated along the picturesque Oklahoma River, this resort features a dynamic indoor waterpark, more than 400 well-appointed guest rooms and suites—including premium riverfront accommodations—and a variety of dining options. The resort additionally offers expansive meeting and event spaces totaling 30,000 square feet, making it a distinctive venue for both leisure and business travelers.
The Cook role at OKANA Resort is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $16 to $17 per hour. This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals seeking to work within a supportive and collaborative team environment focused on growth and success. Cooks at OKANA Resort are vital members of the Culinary team, responsible for preparing and cooking food in assigned areas such as restaurants, outlets, and banquet facilities, ensuring all offerings are visually appealing and meet the highest taste standards. Essential to this role is familiarity with kitchen equipment operation, including grills, ovens, and fryers, as well as maintaining health department sanitation standards within their workstations.
In this capacity, the Cook will develop and refine culinary skills by learning standardized recipes, proper food handling techniques, and presentation guidelines. Team members are encouraged to thrive and participate actively in the resort’s vision of creating exceptional guest experiences by bringing professionalism, dedication, and a customer-centric attitude to their work. The resort fosters personal and professional growth through collaboration, hands-on learning experiences, and exposure to a vibrant hospitality environment. Additionally, employees benefit from a people-first culture and a range of employee benefits.
This position is not merely a job but a career stepping stone within a globally recognized company that champions diversity, supports employee development, and values each associate's unique contributions.
