Job Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- valid California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire or transfer
- valid driver’s license
- at least five years of experience in food production
- at least three years of experience as a cook
Job Qualifications

- valid California Food Handler Card from an ANSI accredited training provider
- valid driver’s license
- at least five years of experience in food production
- at least three years of experience as a cook
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
- strong attention to detail
Job Duties
- Complies with hospital and department policies and procedures
- prepares food that is palatable and appetizing prior to meal service
- completes required documents
- participates in ongoing educational activities
- utilizes hospital supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner
- demonstrates and ensures quality service and food safe practices
- maintains equipment and work areas in orderly and sanitary condition
- demonstrates flexibility during and in-between heavy workload periods
- performs other duties as assigned
