Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in pastry preparation or culinary arts
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of following safety and hygiene guidelines
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to lift moderate weights
- willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pastry cook or similar position
- knowledge of proper pastry and bakery preparation techniques
- familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational skills
- excellent attention to detail
- good communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Prepares all pastry items quickly, efficiently, and consistently
- prepares pastry and bakery products according to established proper presentation standards
- organizes, rotates, and stocks hot lines properly
- meets guests needs through timely and proper handling of all equipment and chemicals
- ensures the employee dining area is properly supplied with freshly prepared food
- complies with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls and government rules and regulations
- works in a safe manner at all times
- assists in other kitchens of the casino as necessary
- keeps the work area clean and organized and deep cleans the area at the end of shifts
- follows the proper closing procedure with cleaning and labeling
- attends periodic meetings and training sessions
- promotes positive public and employee relations
- demonstrates commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct
- presents oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times
- perform other duties as assigned
