Job Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per federal, state, and Illinois Gaming Commission
- must successfully pass background check
- must be at least eighteen years of age
- must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- culinary apprenticeship or associate’s degree in culinary arts preferred
- some industry experience preferred
- basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience
- knowledge of kitchen equipment
- familiarity with international cuisines
- ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests
- ability to use kitchen equipment including choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders
- flexibility to work varying shifts and time schedules
Job Duties

- prepares foods to be grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, or poached ensuring quality and appearance
- recognizes and properly applies sauces to entrees
- keeps workstation neat and clean

- ensures cleanliness and reports equipment safety concerns
- stores foods properly including from previous functions
- ensures items are fully stocked and equipment is well maintained
- closes down workstations properly
- assists with carving, cooking, setup, and teardown at special events
- attends and participates in meetings and completes assigned follow-up
- seasons food according to recipes
- assists during food assembly
- cleans up before shift ends
- cleans food preparation areas as per company policy
- performs work regularly and predictably
- cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces
