The role of Cook II at PIH Health is a vital position responsible for food preparation, cooking, baking, cake cutting, and panning of meals served to patients, cafeterias, catering events, and the Jazzman’s outlet within the network. This position requires a skilled individual who can use standardized recipes and adhere to serving schedules while managing waste and regulating food production volumes to ensure optimal efficiency and minimize losses. The Cook II plays a critical role in ensuring all food items are cooked to proper temperatures following HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) guidelines, which are essential for food safety and compliance. Important responsibilities include the preparation of specialized modified diets tailored to patients’ health requirements and assisting with upscale catered events to provide superior service experiences.
