Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least three years of cooking experience
  • current Food Handler Card preferred
  • knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • basic math skills
  • ability to communicate in English
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • physical ability to lift and move items up to 100 pounds
  • manual dexterity to use kitchen tools
  • ability to perform duties in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • availability to work flexible shifts including evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Current Food Handler Card preferred
  • three years of cooking experience preferred
  • experience with broiler cooking preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • knowledge of sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, and steamers
  • basic mathematical skills
  • basic English language communication skills
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspects and selects high-quality food items
  • checks and controls proper storage and portion control
  • keeps all refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • maintains all logs including cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • utilizes protective equipment
  • reports unsafe conditions and accidents
  • provides a safe work environment
  • maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • performs related duties as requested by management
  • assists other kitchen personnel when needed
