Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Culinary training of at least one year
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a cook in relevant settings such as camps, schools, or residential programs
- Up-to-date education to meet USDA School Lunch Program requirements
- Serve safe certification or equivalent
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Equivalent of one year of culinary training
- Food nutrition training is a plus
- 3+ years of experience as a cook at a camp, school, residential program or other food service establishment
- Meet continuing education requirements for the USDA School Lunch Program
- Serve safe certification or comparable training
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Job Duties
- Preparing, cooking or serving dinner for clients and staff according to the menu plan and schedule
- Providing good customer service to our clientele and staff
- Cleaning of the kitchen after preparation and serving while maintaining high standard of cleanliness and following proper food safety guidelines and standard SOPs
- Maintaining proper storage and rotation of stock
- Labeling and dating of food
- Other duties as needed
