The role of Cook II at the American Airlines Flagship Lounge in Miami offers a full-time position with a competitive pay rate of $23.25 per hour. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for food preparation, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to reducing food waste. As a Cook II, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting a variety of nutritious dishes across different meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. This role requires adaptability to work any shift as open availability is needed, and candidates will receive more specifics during the interview process.
In this role, the Cook II is not just a food preparer but an ambassador of excellent customer service, crucial to enhancing the experience of lounge guests. Responsibilities include following recipes precisely, preparing hot and cold food items with attention to detail, possibly managing a grill station or a la carte service, and occasionally supporting management with overseeing daily operations and staff. Timeliness, reliability, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment are key to success. Job Requirements

- 3 to 4 years of related work experience preferred
- Ability to work any shift with open availability
- Must comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Must be punctual and reliable

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in daily oversight of key functions and employees during normal course of business
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
