The Food Preparation position at Renaissance Hotels is a full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards Renaissance Hotels is known for in food quality and presentation. The individual in this position is responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing food items. They will prepare and cook food according to established recipes and quality standards, including operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Attention to detail is paramount in this role to monitor food quality, test for proper cooking, set up and break down workstations efficiently, and ensure food is served appropriately.

Beyond cooking tasks, the role demands rigorous adherence to all safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting any maintenance needs, accidents, or unsafe conditions to management promptly. Cleanliness and hygiene are critical as the role requires washing and disinfecting the kitchen area, tools, knives, and equipment to maintain an optimal and safe working environment. The Food Preparation associate must ensure their uniform and personal appearance meet professional standards and protect proprietary information and company assets.
