The Cook II position at Seattle Pacific University is a full-time role offering a competitive pay range between $25.00 and $28.00 per hour. The position primarily requires weekend shifts that may include morning, afternoon, and evening hours, with specific details provided during the interview process. This role is ideal for experienced cooks passionate about preparing and presenting nutritious, appealing food while contributing positively to customer service and team success. Responsibilities include accurately preparing, portioning, and cooking a variety of hot and cold dishes for different meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Additionally, this role may involve supporting grill station operations and assisting management with daily functions and employee oversight. A strong emphasis is placed on integrity, punctuality, and readiness to perform assigned duties efficiently and collaboratively.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of cooking experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends including morning, afternoon, and/or evening shifts
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
- Willingness to follow health and safety regulations strictly
- Reliable transportation to work site
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- 3 - 4 years of related work experience preferred
- Team-oriented and adaptable
- Reliable and committed to a healthy, safe working environment
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines accurately
- Strong customer service skills
Job Duties
- Accurately prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
