We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Cook II at the Music Center (PACLAC). This position offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities with an hourly pay range of $24 to $26. The role requires flexibility with varying shifts, including days and hours, with open availability preferred. This flexibility ensures that candidates can adapt to the dynamic needs of the Music Center while thriving in a collaborative work environment.

As a Cook II with Sodexo Live, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting nutritious and delicious food items across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. You will be responsible for accurately following recipes, managing portion sizes, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Your culinary expertise and positive attitude will contribute directly to an exceptional customer experience, impacting the satisfaction and well-being of the guests you serve.

In addition to culinary duties, the Cook II position involves ensuring a safe and healthy working environment by promoting teamwork and cooperation among staff members. You may assist management with overseeing key operational functions during business hours, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Requirements

  • 3 – 4 years of related work experience preferred
  • Ability to work varying shifts including days and hours with open availability preferred
  • Capability to prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Strong teamwork skills and reliability
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Must attend scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • 3 – 4 years of related work experience preferred
  • Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all
  • Ability to follow recipes and food preparation guidelines accurately
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, may include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • May support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
  • Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements
