At Marriott, the philosophy that employees come first is deeply embedded in the culture, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where associates can thrive both professionally and personally. JW Marriott, part of this elite portfolio, emphasizes innovation, authenticity, and a team-oriented spirit, continuing the enduring legacy of its founder, J. Willard Marriott.

This full-time, non-management position offers a competitive pay rate of $17.05 per hour with preferred day and evening shifts. The role is essential in delivering exceptional culinary experiences that keep guests returning.

As a Culinary Associate at New Orleans Marriott, you will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, cooking high-quality menu items in a timely manner, tasting dishes to ensure proper preparation and temperature, safely and responsibly operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of surfaces and storage containers. You will work closely with a dedicated team of culinary professionals, gaining daily insights and opportunities to engage with new seasonal menus and unique presentations. Your attention to detail and commitment to high culinary standards directly contribute to the hotel's reputation and guest satisfaction.

The New Orleans Marriott provides an enriching work environment that values teamwork, positive attitudes, and attention to detail. Associates are supported through various benefits such as hotel room discounts, food and beverage discounts, learning and development opportunities, recognition programs, wellness programs, and leadership that inspires motivation and camaraderie. The hotel is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.

Joining this team means more than just a job; it means becoming part of a global family that nurtures talent, encourages passion for food, and offers numerous rewards and growth opportunities. The role demands the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform.
