With a deep commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, Sodexo creates environments where people can thrive personally and professionally. They focus on delivering superior customer experiences while fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The role of Cook II at Sodexo within a manufacturing company offers a full-time opportunity with weekday shifts during mornings and afternoons or evenings. The pay range for this position is competitive, between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour, reflecting the value of experienced culinary professionals willing to contribute to a team-oriented and dynamic food service operation. This position emphasizes not only food preparation skills but also the importance of reducing food waste and ensuring high standards of customer service.
As a Cook II, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of nutritious hot and cold dishes across several meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Your ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food quality will be essential. The role demands flexibility to handle tasks such as cooking at a grill station or serving customer orders in an a la carte format. Additionally, you may assist management by supervising certain kitchen functions or team members to ensure efficient daily operations. Punctuality and reliability are vital attributes, as the role requires showing up on time for scheduled shifts and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
Beyond the everyday tasks in the kitchen, Sodexo values employees who are adaptable, dependable, and committed to nurturing a positive workplace culture. The company offers opportunities for professional development and career advancement, supported by ongoing training and learning initiatives. Benefit packages are designed to support employees and their families comprehensively, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plans, and various discount programs. Some locations may provide additional perks such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, public transportation support, or parking assistance.
Being part of Sodexo means joining a community that strives to make a meaningful impact through its actions and values diversity and inclusion deeply. Employees are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work, share ideas, and participate in a culture where every voice matters. This position represents more than a job — it’s a chance to build a meaningful career in a company dedicated to making everyday life better for the people it serves, fostering social and environmental progress while creating memorable experiences for customers and colleagues alike.
