This certified minority-owned company delivers exceptional food, facilities management, and integrated services to a diverse range of clients including corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and aviation lounges. SodexoMagic prides itself on fostering local community partnerships while providing creative, customized solutions that meet the unique needs of each of its clients. The company is deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a work environment where every employee feels respected, valued, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
The position being offered is for a full-time Cook II at the American Airlines Flagship Lounge located at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The role promises a competitive pay rate of $21.50 per hour and offers flexible shifts with open availability, allowing the employee to manage their work-life balance effectively. As a Cook II, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the culinary team. This position goes beyond simple meal preparation - it involves a commitment to quality, efficiency, and excellent customer service. The Cook II will skillfully prepare and cook a variety of nutritious, appealing dishes across different meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Precision in following recipes and product directions is essential to ensure consistency and satisfaction for the diners.
In this role, you will not only demonstrate culinary expertise but also contribute to reducing food waste, promoting sustainability, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The Cook II will be involved in a range of food preparation activities, potentially including a la carte service and grill station operation. They may also support management by overseeing daily kitchen functions and assisting with employee supervision, reinforcing a positive and productive work environment.
SodexoMagic is committed to your growth and success, offering ongoing training and development opportunities aimed at turning your job into a long-term career. The company values teamwork, adaptability, and reliability, all of which contribute to a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Employees benefit from a comprehensive array of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision plans, tuition reimbursement, a 401k plan, and much more. Additional location-specific benefits may include free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, and assistance with transportation or parking costs.
