The role of Cook II at Sodexo's Center for Aging Community Living Center is a full-time position, paying $26.05 per hour. It primarily involves morning shifts on varying days, with specific scheduling details provided during the interview process. As a Cook II, you will play a vital role in the team by preparing and presenting high-quality meals that bring comfort and satisfaction to those served. Your responsibilities will include preparing, portioning, cooking, and serving a diverse assortment of hot and cold foods for multiple meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events or catering. You will work with recipes and product instructions to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
This role requires a passionate food professional who is dedicated to food safety, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to operate grill stations and assist in preparing made-to-order items, engaging directly with customers when needed. Additionally, you may be called upon to support management in supervising key daily operations and team members, fostering a productive and safe work environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to work mornings on varying days
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to perform physical kitchen duties
- Flexibility to perform other tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 to 4 years of relevant culinary experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow recipes accurately
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience operating kitchen equipment including grills
- Reliability and punctuality

Job Duties
- Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold foods accurately and efficiently for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events/catering
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product instructions to prepare various foods
- Prepare foods and serve customers requesting à la carte items and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily supervision of key functions and employees during normal business operations
- Attend work and report for scheduled shifts on time with sufficient regularity
- Perform other assigned duties which may vary by site or business needs
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards
