This role of Cook II is based at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, a renowned medical facility dedicated to providing specialized pediatric care. As part of Sodexo’s team within this healthcare environment, the Cook II plays a vital role in preparing and delivering nutritious, safe, and appealing meals to support the health and wellness of patients, visitors, and staff. The position is full-time with work shifts primarily in the afternoons and evenings, including varying days, weekends, and holidays, offering a pay range of $18.90 to $20.00 per hour.

As a Cook II, you will be collaborating with a close-knit team focused on reducing food waste, maintaining high standards of food quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional culinary services. Your daily responsibilities will include efficient preparation and portioning of various hot and cold dishes across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. You will follow established recipes and product directions with accuracy and care, ensuring consistency and compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience in a food service environment
  • Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and food safety knowledge
  • Ability to follow directions and recipes accurately
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties
